I Finally Got An ACOG Today...

Chris: I bought a mount this afternoon. I bit the bulet...and, gave atp $90.00 FOR A MOUNT.

i DIDN'T KNOW THEY WERE ALL THE SAME MOUNTS...But it is mounted on the rail now...

i dont know anything about them, but i would have thought an acog would be meant to mount to a rail.

The ones I've had (and we had issued when I was in the Army) came pre-fitted to a mount for a picatinny rail.

Also, to maintain eye relief, is the rear eye piece roughly in the same position that the rear iron sight used to be?

If that doesn't make sense I can dig up some pictures in the AM to show you
