Wasn't sure of the correct forum for this so I stuck it here.

I've watched numerous videos from companies that sell hydro dipping kits. In each one, they've been dipping relatively small parts. If I decide to hydro dip an AR, I'd want the whole dang thing done, not just the furniture. Is it possible to dip an whole complete upper and then dip a whole complete lower or does each part have to be disassembled and dipped? Can you dip the barrel? How does it look when you overlap on a part? Any part you do would have some overlap and on something like an A2 stock it might be fairly noticeable. I was thinking about either hyrdo dipping a rifle in a camo pattern or doing a sponge paint camo job on it. I've seen some really nice sponge painted camo rifles.

How durable is it? Once it wears really badly, is it possible to strip the rest of it off and redip it?

Very durable!!!! My AR-10 is hydro dipped in real tree camo, and it has been my hunting rifle for years. I go thru the woods, bushes, sticks, and all that good stuff, and not to mention all of my stupid mistakes, and the gun looks fine not a scratch on it.
