I'm looking for someone that has a ump or USC converted to a ump in the charleston area. I am trying to pick a case for mine when it is built and would like to lay one in a case and set accessories once I find which case works is like to take a picture to send to the guy cutting my foam. If you would like to be discreet please pm me. Thanks.

Just saw the post. I have the USC converted into the clone. I also actually make the parts for the mag to make two part of the 922r compliance. The are for sale on my website and on hkparts.net.

Give me a ring if still interested in seeing it.

Thanks for reaching out to me Jeff. I left you a message and look forward to meeting up with you again.

Just up date I'm still searching for someone with an ump or clone to do a custom case layout. I would prefer a sbr with a fusion weld or real ump. Beggers won't be choosy. Thanks Jeff if I don't find one closer to what mine will be ill be happy that you take the time to let me look at yours once you get your barrel. Thank you for your response.

Hey all, I figure it's time to post a few photos of my guns with a back-story behind each one.

I have an HK P30 which has been my daily carry for the past 5ish years which has the rattle fix using a gray electrical heat-shrink tube ( I didn't have any black on hand, I'll change it later, it's not permanent and leaves no marks ). Initially I had a Bersa .380 and never had an issue with it despite shooting it quite a bit. I wanted to go back to HK for my EDC because of being in the military, living in Germany and being stationed all over Germany for around 6 years.

The P8 is by far my favorite USP variant due to the reversed safety lever, it just makes sense that when you go for a normal grip when drawing your thumb will move the lever automatically to the fire position. I was also issued a G36E and had the opportunity to shoot the MG3 quite a bit. I shot a 3 round burst and noticed my rounds weren't going where I thought they should so I inquired about how to use the sights. After that out of 150 people I shot it the best so I got to lug it and shoot it around each time we did a field exercise.

I have an HK Imported Benelli M1 Super 90 which I'm actually thinking of selling because I'm scared to shoot it ( I have a broken neck and back from a car accident where a lady decided it was more imported to ignore a stop sign and pay no attention to where she was going which leaves me unable to move on some days, literally, meaning I am stuck in bed sometimes until everything decides to work again - Happened in May of 11 ). The Benelli is in near flawless condition with only a few scrapes on one side which only smoothed the matte finish a little bit but you can only see it in the perfect lighting conditions.

I may show a photo of the Rossi .357 magnum model 461 6 shooter snub. It's strictly a snake gun as I've had to dispatch cotton-mouths and other snakes on my property because my 85 year old grandmother with Alzheimer's / dementia loves to walk and is oblivious to some of the dangers so I have to keep the yard safe. I may change this out to a Serbu super shorty using bird-shot, and possibly design my own cartridge so that it'll be smaller for more rounds using bird-shot or so. Not a lot is needed to dispatch a snake. That's of course dependent on the recoil but with bird-shot I'm sure it can't be all too bad.

Finally, I converted my HK SL8-6 to a G36E through Tom Bostic; he did an absolutely stunning job on the rifle. I did get 5 internal 922r parts and a US flash-hider so I can use the German G36 mags of which I have 9. Special thanks to Tom Bostic, GSC, MaxFan, HKParts.net, RTG and others I'm probably forgetting for parts!

I did buy an M4 StripLula in order to modify that to work with G36 mags ( I'm going to try boiling it in water, and then heating with a heat gun until it's pliable enough to form it to a mag; I'd like to get a metal mold so I don't have to worry about damaging my mags so if anyone has one I'd love to borrow it ). Tom has an incredibly quick turn-around time and communicates quickly and professionally. ( I'm sadly considering selling this due to Obamacare. I received a letter from Blue Cross of SC telling me that my health-insurance is not compatible with Obamacare early 2014 they will drop me. I've tried searching around for alternative health-insurance but as of yet no one wants to take me due to the pre-existing injuries meaning everything will be out of pocket... )

On to the photos and I apologize for the backwards loaded mags:

HK Imported Benelli M1 Super 90 - High quality right side shot with tons of oil ( I keep all of my guns lubed well, probably why the P30 looks like it hasn't been shot ):

P30 and Rossi 461 - shows the P30 UBG Holster ( Nate makes a great holster, it makes the pistol literally feel as though it's a part of your body and you can easily forget you are carrying a full size ):

My collection definitely isn't as large as many other members, and unfortunately I will have to downsize ( The Benelli unless I just use bird-shot if the recoil is low enough for snakes, but I already have a revolver for snakes and I'm thinking of a super shorty if the bird-shot doesn't recoil badly; if anyone has one I can shoot in SC I'd love to try it ///// And unfortunately possibly the G36 because of having to pay out of pocket because of Obamacare but I'm trying hard to never let that one go, it's just such a beautiful work of art and I really can't give Tom enough props on it! ) unless I want to keep some of them just to have them in the "collection" and due to the Obamacare debacle.

I have read that post before. Love the m1 I'm not a fan of the g36. Will I ever own one maybe but I won't go any futher out of my way to pick one up. I love the idea of throwing 230gr. Out to 100 yds. Hence why I choose the USC/ump. I remember reading about your crash, that sucks I hope things get better for you soon. With you talking about the snakes I am to assume you are in upstate? I'm around the charleston area. Take care and we chat again soon. Take good care of that m1. That's on my list to own.

Edit: The Model 461 is Blued and 462 is nicket; same gun. Or the numbers are vice-versa; not sure. They had both when I found it; I chose it because it was .357, and 6 shot, combined with the fact I could use .38 special / snake-shot, and the grip actually felt decent for a revolver. It's really accurate, I've shot cans out to 30-ish feet with no issue. From a 2" snubby, that's not bad! I have heard complaints about the firing pin possibly breaking off, and seeing the construction it doesn't surprise me. But as a strictly snake-gun essentially, with 98 GA .357 magnum hollow-points through it so far to break-it in, it's not bad at all.

I'm actually in the Charleston area too! James Island; I've had to off a copper-mouth a few years ago who was sun-bathing on my drive-way. I didn't have a gun with me at that time, many years ago, so I ran it over with the car first then crushed him with a brick when he stood up to come at me. I did shoot one with the .357 in my backyard once and have seen others. Definitely not the type of snake you want to let live around here as there are quite a few kids in the neighborhood so; plus I have an 85 year old grandmother who walks through bushes but won't listen when we say it's not safe ( Alzheimers / Fahrs... )..

If you're interested in the Benelli, maybe we could go shooting some-time. I'm scared to shoot it without knowing how much recoil there is so I'd rather have someone else shoot it first, if it's too much then I'd probably end up selling it. It's the Pre-ban 7+1+1 M1... It's also in pretty much mint condition, especially considering the age. There are a few slight smooth spots on the blueing where it appears it slid around, but you have to tilt it in perfect lighting to see it.

yes, 462 is nickel, so 461 is blue.

i was told how to shoot poisionous snakes once. i only shoot the bad guys cause the non poisonous ones eat the poisonous ones. dont kill black snakes. and there are these grey like water snakes around here with a red or orange bottom, depending on age, and i think they keep the bad snakes down.

this guy used a 22 rifle. he said to get sort of close if you arent already, aim at the head and swing the muzzle slowly back and forth. the snake will move his head with the muzzle making it easy to take a shot.

i always carry and walking in my woods i see snakes. the last one i killed was a copperhead with a snub S&W 357. i didnt try the swinging thing cause i wasnt going to get closer than i was when i saw him, maybe 3 ft from the muzzle. i missed his head but shot just behind it and almost took it off.

I'll go out with you some time. I'm not a huge fan of shotguns at the range, I like shooting skeet or trap. But I would be more than happy to try it out for you perhaps work a deal for it. Pm me a number to get ahold of you. I like twin ponds through the week. But we can talk about all that on the phone.

PM Sent. Yeah, I try to only get the poisonous ones. But, if they're aggressive enough to go after my dog, it's game over. The cotton-mouth is super-aggressive and their signature move is lifting their head up way off the ground and open their mouse, right before coming at you. My mom was chased by one at our old place probably about 20+ years ago. She was lucky enough that there was a 2x4 nearby that she was able to off it with.
