The 2019 SIG HICAP Nationals presented by Federal featuring Open, PCC, Carry Optics, and Limited Divisions took place Sept. 22-28, at the Southern Utah Practical Shooting Range, in Hurricane, Utah. Approximately 830 competitors from all over the U.S. and abroad shot both matches, with 263 in Open Division, 147 in PCC Division, 189 in Carry Optics Division and 231 in Limited Division. Match Director Shannon Smith, USPSA President Mike Foley, DNROI Troy McManus, the USPSA staff and volunteers guided competitors through 21 comstock courses of fire that tested their abilities of moving, shooting, and pushing the limits of accuracy and speed.

Max Leograndis continued his dominance in PCC claiming his third National Championship title, as did SIG Sauer Team Captain Max Michel, who won his third consecutive Carry Optics National Championship title. Simon "JJ" Racaza repeated his performance from 2018 with back to back wins in Limited Division. Christian Sailer, a 19-year-old college student, won his first Open National Championship. Jalise and Justine Williams dominated the HICAP Nationals in the Ladies Category. Jalise won her first Limited Division Championship title and Justine took the Ladies Championship title in both Open and Carry Optics Divisions. SIG Sauer's Lena Miculek repeated her dominance in the PCC Division as the Ladies National Champion.

Congratulations to all the competitors, class and category winners. A resounding thank you to all of the staff for a successful event. Results for both matches can be found at USPSA.org. The next stop for the USPSA National Championship series is a month away, the Red Hill Tactical LOCAP Nationals starts Nov. 3, in Frostproof, Florida, and features Production, Limited 10, Single Stack and Revolver Divisions
