Greetings to everyone here at the forum, from a 66 year old geezer who lives a couple of states north of you nice folks. But my genuwine redneck daddy was born and raised in Alabama -- you can't get much more southern than that (without falling into the Gulf !!!)
I bought my first gun (a S&W K-22 Model 17 on August 11, 1973 --- and went on to much enjoyment during several years of centerfire hand loading with an RCBS Rock Chucker press and dies -- four pistol calibers and 3 rifle calibers. Favorite long arm that I tweaked is a groundhog eliminator : a Sako in 22-250 with a 12X Leupold. As an old expression goes, "It will shoot the antlers off a gnat . . ."
By the way, on an important current issue, I share the anger of tens of thousands of my fellow Virginians who are also "disgusted" by politically-correct cowards and Lefties --- ignoring the heritage of our American Confederacy to cave to people who do not want to ADMIT THAT IN HISTORICAL CONTEXT, THAT FLAG REPRESENTED SINCERE BELIEFS AND CONVICTIONS. It is part of proud U.S. culture and a former way of life for millions of us now gone.
