Until I tore into my Ruger Mark III for the first time today. Not to worry, it's back together, and with minimal property damage. I may have increased my boys vocabulary, though.

Field stripping isn't bad after you've done it a couple times, though the mag safety makes reassembling the MKIII more painful than it should be.

I'm not particularly inclined to ever detail strip my MKII again though.

Not bad after a couple of times.
I've Been shooting rugers since the mark I.

There are speed kits for breaking them down if you want to go that way.

Hopefully, I won't have much trouble next time. Just needed to figure it out. YouTube is your friend!

Thats why I like shooting my Dad's MKII Slabside. I ususally don't have time to hang around and help him clean it...LOL....And that's also why I love my S&W 22S, it's much easier to clean.
