I wonder how fragile it is, though. You might have worthless devices that no longer hold even one magazine if you go prone or fall forward onto your magazine pouches.

if there is a downfall thats probably it.

Looks like just a spring at the back of the magazine well. In that case it should withstand abuse pretty well. If it were to snap from say a sideways load, you'd just have a regular double pouch.
