Got Stuck in Reverse

USPSA, 14 paper, super simple. Start at the front of the box and shoot your way to the back. Was having a great run until I was informed that I took the last two targets from outside the box resulting in four procedural penalties. What's troubling is that I was so confident that I was still in the box when I took those shots - but they were 100% right. Such a terrible feeling doing something that you weren't aware of at the time. I haven't shot many stages in reverse but I'll definitely look at them differently from here on out. Backing up to a line is sooooo different from running up to one.

The squad's collective groan as it happened still cracks me up.

There are two really good techniques for running backwards while keeping your pistol pointed down range. I'll see if I can find a video.

I'm all ears. I'm still amazed at how easy it was to step over the baseline.
