Ugh - yea I'm interested....
The license was stolen from me and sold. It was the old laminated style, so a different pic was inserted some how.
Cop buddy of mine was talking about how much info he could get on somebody during a traffic stop. I told him to look me up, so when he did, he said there was a warrant out for me in Florida. Fatality accident, and the other driver bailed, leaving a wallet behind with my DL inside, along with an open bottle. At the time, I had never been to Fla.
Cop told me to get an attorney quick, because if I got stopped, I'd be arrested and held.
Took a few days for the attorney to figure out that the pics didn't match, and forward my theft report from Mexico to Fla. and get me cleared. Never did find out if they caught the guy.
Ever since then I get delayed. It goes through every time, so we figure that incident shows up when the FFL calls in, and they want to look at it.
They never tell you why your delayed, so it's speculation on my part.
