I love to read, and can devour books at a pace that would cause my kindle to burn to the ground. My favorite author is Vince Flynn, he has written a series with his main charcter being a CIA agent named Mitch Rapp (no relation hehe) Another great author is Daniel Silva, his first two or three books follow a different story line, but starting with "The Kill Artist" he has a series about an Isreali Assasin.

Both of those authors write what I have heard called "Faction" because they are based around current events and have lots of real history in them, and are filled with detail that has to be true, at least in part.

Anyone else like to read?

I go in and out of reading moods - lately when I'm in the mood to read I like Thomas Perry - he has some good ones

I'm an avid reader but mostly of non-fiction, primarily stuff that deals with US history and/or law. When I do read fiction it's usually a Louis L'Amour western novel.

Yeah I probably read 3 non fiction books for every 1 fiction. I was thinking along the lines of "series" when I made this post, and there aren't many non fiction series, BUT if you like WW2 books, Look up Donald Burgetts books. He was in the 101st and made all the jumps and operations, has four amazing books, each one about a different campaign. Normandy, read "Curahee" Operation Market Garden, read "Road to Arnhem" Battle of the Bulge, read "Seven Roads to Hell" Going into Germany, read "Beyond the Rhine"

I read these for the first time when I was 14-17 all are amazing first person accounts that he wrote shortly after the war.

3 to 4 books a week. I'm pretty fond of Flynn, too. I like some Brad Thor, Lee Child, Clancy, Griffin, Stephen Hunter, S. Coonts, Rollins, Jim Defelice, J. Grissom, etc. I've pretty much wiped out the thriller genre'. I latch onto the newer releases generally the day they come out. Kind of a symptom of our electronic environs

One author not mentioned in Harold Coyle. His best book is Team Yankee. Its all about what would have happened if the Russians had of crossed the Fulda Gap.

Team Yankee is phenomenal! I got it from the library and devoured it, only to not be able to find it in print when I wanted to add it to my collection, I eventualy found an excellent hardback copy a few years back at a Thrift store!

I never could get into his other books though.

I have his other military books, and was as you disappointed with them when he started in with all the romance add to them. Team Yankee is required reading for alot of combat officers now, because Harold did something no other military author did, he put in all the screwups that can an do happen in combat!

That one is now on the "to read" list...
