Worked as an RO today and had a good time. It was fun getting to coach some of the inexperienced shooters. Going to work day 2 tomorrow, can't wait. Maybe next year I'll have a Glock so I can get me some of the action. If you have one, be sure and go shoot, it's at the Palmetto Gun Club.

I worked one at Mid Carolina before. They are a lot of fun. I missed this year. But will be looking forward to next.

I really wanted to get down there for the match. With my job, leave has to be requested WELL in advance so I wasn't able to swing it this year. I wasn't in the loop before this one came to town. Hopefully I can keep up with the schedules and plan accordingly next year.

What kind of goodies did they give you for helping out?

And what kind of Glock would you want? Strictly range gun, strictly self defense, or an all purpose? My first Glock was a model 19, and it's fantastic. It's the perfect all around gun for me.

They are mailing the goodies. I'm getting a Glock knife and a sub-compact holster. They also had magazines but I don't have a Glock. Book bags, shooting mats and a few other items. They gave away three pistols to RO's, but my normal luck meant no prize for me. We also got a cool Glock RSO shirt and cap. Maybe I'll have a Glock by next year.

I was out there today with Chris and look forward to the next match I can attend. I will also volunteer as an RO. I highly recommend joining and competing at GSSF matches. I had a great time and met some great shooters.
