Glock 36?

I have been thinking that I have too many 9mm's and was thinking about selling my Springfield Armory Ultra Compact in 9mm to maybe finance a concealable .45. Having owned several other Glocks (currently a 19 and 34,) I am tending to be partial to them for reliaiblity and ease of operation. Not to say that my Kimber fullsize isn't reliable, but it is kind of large to conceal easily in the summertime. I also thought about maybe trying to trade the 9mm for a .45 version and then have the ability to use full size 1911 mags for spares/backups, but have heard that smaller 1911 's tend to be harder on the guns in .45, thus leading to the Glock's durability. I can't say that I really like the idea of having to buy Glock 36 mags that don't work for anything else, but that may be something I would just have to live with...anyway, if anybody has experiences (+ or -) please share. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for all the responses! It sure helped. I guess no one has any experience with the Glock 36. The good news is that I got a freebie, sorta, (Father's Day present) so I can test it out myself. So far I have replaced the trigger connetor and added Meprolights. The gun is scary accurate at 15 yards with GD hollowpoint and pretty good as well with fmj. I am pleased to say that I haven't had any failures of any kind in the first 200 rnds (approx.) The downside? is that the small gun is a .45 and as such behaves accordingly when fired.

have fun with it. I haven't ever fired one of those things but did have a buddy with one. I believe he finally sold it because of it being to much to tame down for quick follow up shots

I didn't see your post till today, but I like mine. Not as much as my Sig p245, same size but glock is mucho lighter. The Glock is super easy to take apart and parts are much cheaper. The glock is way easy to carry. I don't think shooting it is too extream. .45 acp isn't too bad but I'm used to the compact sig. Best of luck with it.

Although I just traded my 36 (trying to go all 9mm for simplicity) I really liked it. Recoil seemed light for such a small gun. about the same size as a 19 but a little thinner.
Try it I bet you'll like it.
