According to Gallup, gun ownership data has been roughly the same for more than 60 years: 44% of Americans admit they have a gun in their home, but only 30% admit the gun is theirs and 14% say the gun isn't theirs.

I have never had a poller call me and why would I tell someone on a unsolicited phone call anything about myself. I have never understood why someone would tell a pollster anything. You do not owe them any information about yourself and it is none of their business!

^^^People wanna talk. The less in their best interest, the less they can not talk.

I understand that, then go on the blogs and you can talk all you what! IE: 1911 Fanatics Forum

I would also tell the pollsters"None of your business" or maybe, they will find out on election nigth or just to mess with them, I might lie to them. Nothing could be better then, them coming up 100% off and wrong on their poll survey.

That Iowa pollster (J Ann Selzer) was off 16% last Nov. and she quit.

Most conservatives have the same feelings toward polls as you do.
But liberals on the other hand can't wait for a phone call from a pollster so they can spill their guts!

poll caller .." we're taking a poll, do you have any guns in your home ?"

gun owner's reply, " of course not.. they're dangerous"

Probably how it would go in most gun owner's homes... ('cept they might leave off the "they're dangerous" part)

I don't think that citizens should have weapons, only the government should have guns!
