So I sent my 18in mossberg barrel over to the shop at Aimpro, had it threaded for chokes. I was open to the idea of it being my new 3 gun setup, but wasn't getting my hopes up. Well the barrel came in just in time for a weekend skeet shoot/barbecue outing with friends. I put in my full choke, and man was I surprised! I was able to hang all day with guys running 28 inch barrels. I am able to take out clays from a satisfyingly far distance and now have a lightweight setup!

Haven't patterned in my slugs yet, but I wanted to ask if I could run into any trouble with full chokes? I use rem. sluggers.

For 3 gun you won't need that full choke to often even on an 18" barrel. You can squeeze a slug through a full choke but its not something I have ever done in a match.

I run a M as my standard choke in my 18" gun. Now if your shooting stationery clays that is going to have a nice big pattern with a Briley Diffusion or even a Cylinder choke.
