Finally did it...

Bought an ammo can today...stopped at 2 walmarts afterwards to scoop out their ammo selections...bought 120 rounds of 7.62x39, 15 rounds of #1 bk, 15 rounds of 1 oz slugs, 15 rounds of 3in 00 bk, brought that home to my existing ammo pile and managed to cram it all into the ammo can...now I need another one..

The short list includes:
200 rounds of .223
160 rounds of 7.62x39
40 rounds of .380 fmj
20 rounds of 9mm hp
40 rounds of 9mm fmj
50 12ga birdshot
15 12ga slugs
15 12ga 00 bk
15 12ga #1 bk

The mini 14 has 4 mags all full
The sks has 3 mags all full
The 870 has 6 00bk in the tube, 6 slugs on sidesaddle, 5 000bk on stock
The pf9 has 3 full mags
The lcp has 2 full mags
The llama has 1 full mag

Not a lot of ammo by some standards but it's a start...prolly eventually gonna have a
Can for each rifle ammo, pistol ammo, shotty ammo

months ago Academy was selling green tip 5.56 in a bulk bag in a box for $419 per 1000 rds. i looked next to that box, there was a skew price for a bulk box of 2000 rds for $419. wasnt a mistake, it was supposed to be "dirty and some dents".

i didnt take my hands off the box till my wife brought money. obvously the clerk had called someone to tell them it came in cause a random guy came up asking what i was doing, interested in the box. i told him i was waiting to buy it. he and the clerk chatted some and he stayed till my wife arrived. we left with 2000 rds. some do have a small dent but it looks good enough for my ARs.

Been in Goose creek/north charleston for about a year...lived in cola for 5 years prior...though about your cans but figured shipping or gas would put it about same price..only paid $16.xx after tax...if I'm ever up that way I'll hit you up

Dicks sporting goods has federal 1oz slugs for $1/box of 5 after $2 mail in rebate...max buy of 5 boxes...they have 12ga and 20ga...also had a buddy pick up 200 rounds of pmc xtac 5.56 at Psa for $7.30/box...and added another 100 rounds of 7.62x39...and an additional ammo can...probably hold off until after Xmas and hope prices don't go up too much
