I will add more photos as the storm progresses. Visibility has been reduced to 50-100yds. If you have images of your own, post them up. This is going to be a Winter blizzard that Oklahoma won't soon forget so get it in pictures if you can.

Not as bad as Christmas Eve 2009 but whatever.

I don't think it's as bad as '09 either. At least not for us here in the central OK area. It may be worse up Tulsa way though.

No pics as yet 'cause I ain't getting out in it! I don't have any bovine wimmens to watch after. Maybe later I'll snap pics, but I doubt it....

Not even close to Christmas 2009, but people are freaking out a lot more.

Yea - you picked me up one day for our date remember.....

I never thought I would need to whip out my snowboarding gear in Oklahoma. Glad I had it

We haven't been hit with as much ICE as we received in 2009 but the total accumulation is more than any other Winter weather event in Oklahoma history.

I did my good deed for today... Went out and pulled several people out of ditches and gave some a ride and did not charge them. The truck is sitting on the snow and has 32in tires, it is getting deep. Over 600,000 miles on her, had not started it on over a year, and she still does what is asked. 1 lexus and 4 full size truck pulled by her today. May be the best truck I ever bought? The Titan is in the barn avoiding getting bumped, and may come out later.

Maybe. But not in my area. 2009 was the end of the world compared to this dusting. We didn't have much ice in 2009 either. Just an ass load of white stuff.

That sounds dirty.

It's nice to know I wasn't the only one out and about in Tulsa today, doing what I could to help those in need. I pulled out a car and a truck and gave rides to 3 people who were stranded.

HA HA HA HA! Man, I wasn't going to say anything...but since you started it; I saw a lot of Chevrolet / Dodge trucks stranded but I only saw ONE Ford 4x4 stranded. I'm glad to have a truck that's Built Ford Tough. :P

In fact, the truck I had to pull out was...a GMC Z71.

This is my assessment as well. I think the snow was DEEPER in 09, but the weather warmed up and it was passable in a day. The temps are going to keep this around for a little while. The roads aren't bad themselves, but it's 8" deep all throughout my neighborhood so if you don't have the ground clearance, you're pooched. THEN, the jerks that plowed the main roads piled it up in the entrances to all the businesses and neighborhoods.

You can't really tell in the pic, but that snow was bumper deep on the GMC for another 10 feet. I had a lot of snow to pull him through and I'm surprised the highway tires on my truck were able to do it. Days like this sure make me miss my last truck.

I pulled out, a Ford F150 C/C, F150 reg cab, 2 Chevy's and a lexus. The F250 amd F350 were all moving right along.

GM trucks have lower frames than Dodge or Ford, they always get stuck. My last truck was an diesel F350 with a 6" lift and 37" tires. It was unstoppable.

Here are some photos I took while I was out this afternoon.
