thou shall not kill my Marines. i had heard of Chuck M. the story of him dispatching 16 NVA crossing a river one night in Vietnam but i didnt know he had more confirmed kills than any other Marine ever, even Carlos Halfcock.

I think he passed him because Carlos got taken off the field. Didn't he get burned real bad rescuing guys from an M113 APC that hit a mine or something?

Either way, anybody with a bounty on their head in Vietnam was walking on eggshells- VERY brave soldiers indeed!

when he came home he told people who asked if he was ever in the military, nope the draft missed him. didnt want any noteriety.

there are more storys. one about the patriot guard, storys of LE, rescue........

Most Marine scout/ snipers I have known were all very humble, reserved men.

God bless and look over our troops...... Especially our snipers!

In another interview of Chuck I saw he said the only thing he regretted was the V.C. That he missed because he didn't know how many of his Marines that guy killed...
