Jesse post this video on facebook and it made me wonder... are there any side saddles that can hold shells in the dual/quad-load configuration and withstand the shotgun recoil?

if that is/were possible, you would be fiddle farting with the gun rather that keeping it aligned with the targets. Its faster to move your body around the gun rather than gun around the body.

Plus most caddy's shell retention is just barely enough to hold the shells. I could see them flying everywhere during recoil....

I've considered mounting a set of shells under the handguard for a quick load two off the start but it's just as easy to grab two quickly off my belt.

It would be a little faster to load because you wouldn't have to move you arm as far.

Make it happen
Then so would a chest rig but those still feel weird.
