In the spirit of not just reporting a news event without inviting dialog, were You shoved into your gun closet by 3 thugs, how might you go about deciding the weapons with which you would reenter the fray?
Would you choose the old-school 1911 your granpa brought back from the War, or your newest Polymerized FlamenBlaster, or perhaps that virgin SOCOM you scrimped for, mebbe even your 12ga. ZombieWaster w/ the side-saddle and bandolier accoutrament 'for a total of (1+9+7+50 shells)' ?

How might you decide and how long would you take to do so?

Myself, found alone in my own gun closet with my friends, I'd probably appreciate the peacefulness of the moment and become aware of a small speck of overlooked pseudo-rust that then happily permits me to inspect the contents once again...
..crooks would probably make off w/ my TV...s'ok.. i dont watch it anyway..

Interested in ya'lls conceived courses of actions...

I think I would have to come out with the AR for three reasons:
1. Mag capacity. If I'm taking on three armed men I want as many rounds as I can get without reloading.
2. After watching the video Tigerstripe posted about a doctors view of gunshot wounds why use a pistol when you could use a rifle.
3. Because Bumbling Joe Biden told me I don't need an AR for home protection. :twisted:

Then again discretion is the better part of valor and there isn't anything in my house that I can't live without. Maintaining a fortified position until the authorities arrive may keep me alive longer.

1. they couldnt find a closet anything would go into,

2. if im breathing, im packing. except the bank. or courthouse where the credit union is. neither is often. people go there to get money, right?

3. security should tell me i have company, so id meet them with an AR. should i use the SBR or the full auto?

trick question, the SBS. no. im afraid if i used one of them they would want to take it for "evidence". AR-10? 11 rd shotgun with 00 buck?
