Appleseed is a nationwide rifle marksmanship and Revolutionary War history organization. The Mid Carolina Rifle Club in Columbia is hosting four classes:
February 23-34
April 20-21
June 1-2
October 19-20
There are also numerous events just across the state line in North Carolina on other dates, and a few more classes in SC throughout 2013.
Until Dec 31, event tickets are discounted with gift certificates for $50 available. TIckets will be going up in 2013 so now is a good time to jump on the deal. If you have a friend who recently ran out and bought a rifle in the recent panic buy, this would make a great gift (along with a brick of ammo, maybe!). Discounts are also available for families, elected officials, military servicemembers, and LEOs (unless they've changed things up on me recently...). It is hard to beat $50 for a weekend class.
I am a RWVA line safety officer/instructor-in-training, and I know there is at least one other riflewoman and instructor on these boards so please feel free to weigh in with any questions.
