I do see the potential for it to be misused, but that's going to happen regardless, due to the nature of people with nefarious intent. The question is, what do we do about it?
I could actually see this being useful in NY, if Bloomberg actually installs those gun/metal detectors on the streets. On the other hand, perhaps this is a way for the TSA to justify continuing to grope people...Hmm...
