Very surprised he hasn't been held for shooting someone armed only with a BB gun. Sure, he probably didn't know it was a BB gun, but it was. That's all the Anti-gun vultures are going to concentrate on.

Funny how the Channel 4 Crime specialist showed concern over ricochets and innocent bystanders. Whenever we hear about a law abiding citizen firing at criminals, they usually hit them with no problems except for the criminals themselves...

so, how about Bloomberg's finest yankee protectors of the public last week, eh?

Seems like some(not all, of course) LEOs could learn a few things from the law abiding citizens. Well, the yankees definitely could. :P

BB guns are still dangerous weapons- period. Even tranquilizer guns are dangerous in a major way! Couple both aspects and you have serious problems. Remember how they used to have darts for BB and pellet guns a while back? Psychos could even taint them with who knows what!

Hey! As an Indiana transplant I resemble that remark. Course, I am not with law enforcement and I didn't really get to shoot much until I moved to the south.

I have often wondered why criminals DON'T paint the barrels of their weapons orange at the tip just to get that momentary hesitation when confronting an armed victim or the police. Making them wonder if they have a airsoft or BB gun instead of a real weapon.

I think the last sentence in your article says it all:
"This marked the sixth time in Jacksonville in the last year and a half an armed suspect was shot and killed during the commission of a crime."

Nuff said on that.

i ilke the first article ending. one dead one captured and nobody hurt, i guess meaning us regular folks.
