Last Sunday got a day off finally, and went for the coyotes. Nothing on the first sit, but on the 2nd, 30 minutes into it, a young one showed up, and the 45 grain HP in .223 took a big chunk out of the neck.

Nice work! I got this one with riding shotgun in an R44. Suckers are fast!

"Dennis since we are in the same area, maybe next time you give me a shout and we both can go and put a hurt on them!!!! "

Cool!

Haha I wish. I used 30 round pmags. Would be a bad day if one of those 60rd aluminum heavy surefires fell out and hit the tail rotor!!

I'm going to try and thin the pack in a field outside front door. Never hunted coyotes so it should be an adventure.

Get a good call, and a remote call decoy. I have some of the mouth calls that I've used in the past when turkey hunting to lure one in that wanders in to the area.
Making blind sets requires an electronic calls because most of the time your calling for 30 minutes or so. The electronic calls can work by themselves, but the decoy gets the coyotes attention away from the shooter so you can re-position if necessary without spooking them.
Bobcats, you don't want to use a decoy.
