Maybe I am looking at the glass half-empty. There are videos and pictures all over Facebook and news feeds of civilians guarding recruiting centers in several states.

While I appreciate the fact that we CAN do this, does it not make our military look weak to those around the world? You don't see civilians guarding the military in any other countries, do you?

Seems kind of backwards. Correct me if I am looking at this wrong

Jihadist #1: Look, they are so weak they have to have Bubba stand guard for them

Jihadist #2: Yeah, I know right?

Just look at Isreal. They are constantly being attacked. Their military carries m16's and Tavor's at the ready (with ready mags) pretty much all the time. Even in civies at the beach. I highly doubt that our current President would be willing to implement that though.

It's just been since the early 90's that the military has been unarmed. HW Bush started it, and Bill Clinton signed the bill.
When I was in the Army reserve after active duty, our reserve unit would go to summer camp in our jeep convoys with Ma Duece proudly mounted down the highway. Now, they are lucky to even see one.
Some of the pics I saw were of overweight guys in shorts with tube fed .22's and .380's strapped to their ankles. They are setting themselves up to be the first victims IMHO.
There are better defensive positions than a lawn chair in a parking lot.
News reports today, said one of the slain marines used a personal weapon to fire back at the terrorist.
There was speculation he may have hit him. Had he survived, he probably would have been court martialed.

Eotechs mounted backwards and rifles totally without sights of any type. They are there to be in pictures and talk with "like-minded" retards. Seems like the author of Forrest Gump had a timeless quote about stupidity.

I'm of this mind thought and that is I don't expect bad things to happen but I'm prepared if they do! I just wish common sense was much more common these days! Later,

Kirk

Agree with Dennis. My first thought actually was that they are sitting ducks. But I appreciate their intentions.
