Went out fishing last weekend. Ran jugs, and a short trotline for two days. Brought home 8 keepers, and several pond stockers. Grilled bluecat fillets tonight. was going to go back out tonight, but my fishing buddy got on the bad side of his wife, so, maybe tomorrow. Got 8 keepers, and some pond stockers

nice stringer, Dennis. Thus far I have taken 3 flatheads (6,7, and 9 lbs) and one channel (5 lbs) out of our pond The yellow cats are so delicious, and much better than channel catfish! Been getting them at night when it gets really dark about 10 PM and afterwards. Catching green sunfish during the day with the fly rod (so easy) and using them as bait.

That would be nice to go out in the back yard and catch supper. A guy could actually save a few bucks.
5 trips to the lake from home, boat fuel, beer, etc., I could have bought a lot of fish at the store, but it wouldn't have been near as much fun.

Thanks Dennis but they have already been consumed. It was good though!

We hit the sand bass on Kaw yesterday evening. Tore them up about 8:30-9:00. Couldn't get the slab to the bottom in 6' of water before they hit it. Only brought home 6 of the bigger ones. The board is 12" wide

You must be retired . Cause you sure do a lot of fishing!
I'm a long way from being retired. I just love the outdoors and being in it. I release 99% of the fish that I catch, except for the ones kept for family fish frys and the whiners at work that want a free fish fry. Lol.
I average almost 90 days a year in the water or field according to the journal I keep. Thank God my wife likes fish and game in the freezer. :D

That's good man I wish I could get out more often but that was te first and last time I will probably fish this summer.

I don't know the reason you won't get out, but there are a lot of specie, that can be caught in the heat of the summer.
Have fun, and be safe on the water. :D

All the fish I seem to catch are deformed.... their head is to close to their tail...I need someone with more experiance to show me how its done lol!
