can we change the default color of QUOTES?

it makes it very difficult to skim thru a multi page thread and catch just the replies, esp on multiple quotes.


and can we get "mouse over" to show the first few lines, so when you visit the site, and hit "New posts" you can see if you wanna peek in??

i think that would ease server loading, because i hit "new posts" then right click and "open in new window"

and the server locks up because I asked for half a dozen threads to open in new pages.

it locks pretty often, but thats the best way i have found to read a forum that does not have "mouse over"

you can sorta tell, by looking at the index, each thread has XX number of views, but no comments, every single user has to open to see if they have any humor/insight/vigilantism/survivalist notes to add.

Here's the plugin that will do exactly that - show a few lines of the post by hovering without loading the whole page. It does make things easier and faster.

multiple qoutes are the hardest to read.

and seeing the quotes and the response is important to understanding the point, esp if if is something you are passionate about. (like 2nd amendment rights!)

If the site admins really want to do this it just requires changing the appropriate color value in one line of one CSS file for the theme this phpbb site uses. Diferent themes have different locations where this is required and I have no idea what theme this board runs. I maintained a phpbb site years ago but haven't done it in a while - woudn't know where to start for this site.

It would be nice to have a bit darker background, but it would require some hacking. The same hack would then have to be applied to any subsequent updates to the site.
