Its a Smith and Wesson Model 65 357 Magnum. Its Stainless, I think they all are.

Its my first 357, second Smith, and second revolver. (Thanks to WFR for my first. Its now my EDC)

Forgot to say its stamped SCDHPT under the cylinder.

That is for South Carolina Department of Highways and Public Transportation. This was a predecessor to SCDOT as best I can tell. I am not sure if SCDHPT ran the Highway Patrol or what. Any help in this would be appreciated.

I'f im not mistaken...SCDHPT was like a combo of Dept. of Transportation and Dept. of Public Safety

They were around from the mid 70s to the early 90s i think

Congrats, love S&W wheel guns, carried one for years. Love my 686. Plus I just picked up a couple of new ones, RIA compact 1911 and a XD-M 3.8 compact in 9mm... :mrgreen:
