best place to book cheap flights

have to fly to burlington, VT in sept.. rarely fly, what is the best website/way to book cheap flight?

I prefer orbitz, but make sure to check southwest's website. Their flights aren't posted on the other travel search engines.

Last time I had to go to Burlington VT. We had to land in Hartford CT and drive the rest of the way. It's not far, and there is some real history along the way. Be sure to visit the fish ladders on the river. They have plexiglass windows to watch them.

I don't think American uses orbitz anymore if I remember right. Southwest would probably be the cheapest.

southwest doesn't fly there, but ya'll are right orbitz is cheaper...

When you are going in to an area that is not a major airport, it can be cheaper to fly in to a major airport and rent a car, also it may actually be quicker. Especially if you are going to need to rent a car anyway. Southwest serves Hartford (BDL). If you don't need to rent a car maybe someone can pick you up or check out the train service for the area. Hartford used to be really expensive untill Southwest started flying there.
