I am cursed with being a southpaw and just recently purchased an m2 to use in 3gun.
I am trying to remove the shell catch to polish and bend to allow faster/smoother reloads. Problem is I can't get to the top side of pin to punch it out as it is on the solid side of the receiver. There is only about a quarter inch groove that the bolt rides in to see the top of pin. Am I SOL or is there a trick to getting it out?

there is a tiny c-clip in there, and being cursed being a southpaw, like me, you should have gotten a standard (rh) M2. Its way better for lefties to use it in three gun than even righties. so if you can, take it back to wherever you got it, and get a regular M2.

Mike, hind sights 20-20. Bought it two states away and have already started opening up loading port. Is the c clip on the inside? So I should push it into the gun and pull clip out of the bolt groove?

A left hand eject model, where the bolt release button is on the non ejection port side, but its LH eject. it doesnt have the roll pin, it has that blind hole and a solid pin grooved for a little clip in a cutaway on the inside .

or am I confusing it with a stoeger or something else? Ive only done a half dozen of them at most. I also have a bloody mary in hand.

yeah, thats what you didnt catch, Benny. He said he was a southpaw, but didnt specifically say he had the LH model. I inferred that from him saying he was cursed.
