Let's hope the jury pool in that part of Texas is familiar with Jury Nullification.

The 23-year-old father, whose name has not been released, was working on a horse and was barbecuing shortly before 3:43 p.m. that Saturday when someone alerted him that his daughter had been carried off to a secluded area by Flores, officials said.

The father heard the girl scream, and ran in that direction. He found Flores on top of his child, pulled him off and began hitting him in the head and neck, according to the district attorney's statement.

At least the Sheriff gets it. Let's hope the grand jury does as well.

Asked whether they would press charges against the father, the sheriff responded, "You have a right to defend your daughter. He acted in defense of his third person. Once the investigation is completed we will submit it to the district attorney who then submits it to the grand jury, who will decide if they will indict him."

Grand Jury won't indict!

Great news!

HOUSTON -- A central Texas grand jury on Tuesday ruled that a local father who beat to death a man he reportedly caught molesting his 5-year-old daughter will not be charged in connection with the attack.

District court clerk staff told the Los Angeles Times that the Lavaca County grand jury met Tuesday and declined to return an indictment against the father in the June 9 death of 47-year-old Jesus

Justifiable Homicide! The Prosecutor must be living on another planet if he thinks he could ever find a jury to convict this guy.
