All conventional rifling is formed by cutting or exerting pressure within the barrel, unlike polygonal rifling which is formed by hammering the barrel from the outside.

I'm pretty sure the current coated bullets run just fine in the polygonal barrel's vs the pure lead bullets with wax rings.
Some of our shooters use the glocks. We have dug some of their bullets out of the berm to see how much is left of the coating and it always appears to be pretty much 100%.

I have a Kahr CW9 that was about $400 if i remember. I's a good gun for the $$$. The Kahr P9 is the Premium model of the gun with the Poly barrel for about $300 more. Wonder if it's worth the investment. Anyone familiar with the Kahr P9? THX.
I have two Kahr CW-40's. They sport the rifled barrels though.

Kahr's are well known for maintaining tight tolerances during constructions which results in a very accurate pistol if the owner does his part.
They do require a break-in though. I trust my life with them.
