It's been a few months since I have been out there and was wondering if any of you could remind me of the hours they are open.
If I remember... they are closed on Mondays and it is $8 to shoot all you want. Thanks for the help.

Not sure of what days are closed but the shutdown at sunset. And $8 dollars sounds right. At least it was when I went there before hunting season.

I know they are for sure closed Monday and maybe Tuesday. I always went there about 10:00am but I think they open at 8 on the weekends. He raised the price to $10 because "people like to shoot [his] target stands".

Ya know all the times I've been out there I have never seen that sign  heck I was there Sunday morning. Later,

Kirk

And now he's closing at 6 PM.

I went there for my first time today. Got there a little after 4PM he told me he was closing in one hour, thirty minutes..... And at 5:22 PM he was reminding us all to get out....

I was appalled at how nasty that range is.

If I'm not mistaken, Harry is on the bad side of the 80s age-wise. I sure as hell wouldn't be running a gun range at that age. He also shoots 5" groups at 50 yards with a 1911 with iron sights. Like a boss.

Yell bullshit at him loudly, because he's almost deaf. And waddle in there early, because he shoots in the morning. And check out his Les Baer in .357 Sig. It's sofa-king cool.

Go ahead and call bull elephant dung but take money and he will show you! sometimes you have to be careful and damn sure don't bet him anything with him shooting one of those Garands.

Ken out there at T-Bird is a hell of a nice guy, seems I spend more time BS'in than shooting when I go out there plus he has steel out to 426 yards :-) I don't know his hours though since I move out of Norman. Later,

Kirk

I believe anything that dude says when it comes to shooting. And hell, they say smoking will kill you and shooting makes you deaf. I think he has proven them wrong on both counts.

My original plan was to go to T-bird today. I found the mailbox for the address on Fishmarket but did not see any signs and did not want to just wander down driveways....

Ding-Dong me forgot to copy the phone number down so I had to find a phone book... I called. Ken said he was closed today. Well problem at home... SO I really wanted to shoot, I went to Banner....

I'm hoping to make it out to Ken's tomorrow, I hear nothing but good things about his range.

Haven't heard of T-Bird range. Where is it located? I belong/shoot at the Shawnee Rifle and pistol Club, but the only have a 100 yd max. Is T-Bird open to public or members only?

Last I heard Thunderbird was having problems with their neighbors complaining about the noise so they shut down for now.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Reading this, I started to have a great idea - we should go out to the Lexington gun range (it's free and on 180th/york) - all us from BS bring our arsenal out. We'd look like a gathering of the gun crazy masses ready to take on the world - ha ha. BTW - I've got four CRT monitors that are looking for a few holes! I've also got a bowling pin too!!
