As subject indicates. Rather than clamping the handle to the upper, then the adapter to the handle, then the optic to the adapter, I'm wondering if there's a way to skip an interface and have a carry handle with the rail built in.

Or even better, a carry handle with an integrated optic. Not the G36 style though.

Not answering your question, but who finds the carry handle useful except for keeping that retro look? I would never imaging anyone clamping a carry handle to a flattop the adding a rail and another optic. Maybe a QD carry handle would do the trick.

Cross eye dominant shooter that needs the rise off the top of the rifle, and still maintain iron sights.

Otherwise. I totally agree.

10-4. I looked around online... found plenty of riser rails and carry handle rails, but no detachable carry handle with an integrated rail... will keep an eye out. Seems like with all the stuff out there someone has thought it. Maybe think of other options, like extra high rings and a flip up sight, or some half length risers in various locations. Have you tried the high mounts, like the Burris PEPR?
