Just looking for some feed back on the different grip tapes that are out there. Not really looking for a particular application, just for Success/Failure. I recall someone wrote about grip tape that was great until the glue softened after being outside for a while. Thanks in advance.

I have heard you can use skateboard tape. Probably similar to safety stair tape. I would imagine it sticks pretty darn good and is pretty darn rough. I have found rubber electrical splicing tape (not the plain old sticky PVC electrical tape) and vet wrap (Tractor Supply) can be handy, but not for what you are looking to do and not for long term use.

great stuff for my small sigs, revolver, 1911. just add a little heat with a hairdryer and it is stuck solid (can peel off easily for re-adjusting or replacing). price is right.
