For sale is my TA55A ACOG, with red chevron dual illuminated BAC reticle and .308 BDC. I am asking $1200 OBO... and I am throwing in a very nice GDI military issue throw-lever mount to sweeten the pot.

As for the scope, this is an outstanding optic with brightness and clarity like nothing I've ever seen. It has seen a very low round count... I would say less than 100 rounds. I bought it in December 2009, so it is only a couple years old and has lots of life left in the tritium. The only marks on it are handling marks from putting it in and taking it out of its case. I absolutely love it, but it just doesn't work very well with the receiver mount on my M1A... it sits too high and requires an awkwardly tall cheek rest. That is why I have fired so few rounds with it mounted. I will say that even with an awkward cheek riser, this optic performed exceptionally well... I have fired with it on a range with man-sized silhouettes out to 1,000 yards, and the ranging/BDC reticle worked like a charm. I just walked it out and got 1st-round hits at 300, 400, 500, 600, and 700 yards from prone with a sling, using just the reticle. I couldn't see past 700 since it was such a misty day... most people couldn't see the targets past 500, but the ACOG has unbelievably clear and bright glass. I find that it is easier to spot targets with this ACOG even over higher magnification rifle scopes and spotting scopes, just due to its unparallelled clarity. The BDC goes out to 1200m on this model. It is the ultimate battle rifle optic, and would be right at home on top of your .308 AR, FAL, RFB, HK-91, or maybe you could even make it work on an M1A with a different scope mount (I was using the ARMS #18). The ACOG also comes with a nice case for it, which has both MOLLE and ALICE attachments for hooking it to your gear.

This is a $1600 scope... I will sell it for $1200 OBO. I will also throw in a GDI R-COM E-Model throw lever mount, which is a USMC issue ACOG mount. That is a $180 mount, and it is in nearly new condition... I only had it mounted up long enough to see that it didn't work on my M1A because of the throw lever sticking out right over the ejection port. It comes with a nice coyote tan zipper case with the instruction card. The mount has 4 mounting holes for the ACOG, so you can have the scope sitting as far forward or back as you need for eye relief.
