Are they worth attending? What is the value in attending one? Good prices? Hard to find stuff? Or just meeting gun enthusiasts in person?

Just curious what the general opinion is. I noticed there is one in Okc this weekend and then the huge one in Tulsa next weekend.

You'll find some items priced well, some overpriced, and some junk. If you haven't been and have nothing else to do, than yea, it's worth going once.
I haven't seen anything at a gun show that I haven't seen online.

When I go, it is to kill time. I run into alot of people I know at them. Sometimes I find a good deal on things. Guns are mostly overpriced, but now and then you find a deal.

I did used to love tagging along with my dad to gun shops when u was a wee lad. I used to dream of having all those cool throwing stars, knives and beanie babies. Little did I know then I would someday have them all.

Thanks for the answers. Burk, as soon as my oldest gets done with out of town/state basketball tournaments, I will get back into the matches. The matches really are a lot of fun and a great learning tool.

For reloaders that buy in quantity, Powder valley shows up at wanamakers. Order what you want, and you can pick it up at the show with no sales tax, hazmat, or shipping.
As I collect shotguns, I'm always looking for somebody walking around with a nice double gun that they inherited from grandpa, or maybe one of those 1911's made by that little sewing machine company. I have specific guns I look for, and enjoy it when the Browning collectors set up tables just to display, and talk shotguns.
There is the occasional bargain, but not many.
