$300 for a $1000 NRA Lifetime Membership

Tom Gresham this past Sunday announced on his Guntalk radio show that the NRA is offering a discounted NRA Lifetime Membership -- $300 vs. the usual $100. Discount requires the member number of a current lifetime member, but if you call this dedicated number 888-678-7894 you will automatically be given the discount based on Tom Gresham's membership.

I've been wanting to get a life-time membership for a while; albeit I don't agree on everything they say, but it's important to be part of such organizations to ensure our rights are secure. Thanks for the heads up, I'm selling one of my firearms for a project and it looks like I'm going to take some of the extra left over and use it for this! I believe they have at least extended it til month's end, but I think the response is so good, the NRA would be crazy to interrupt it in today's political environment..

Just to clarify, even if it expires, ANY current life member can "sponsor" a Life Member at $300 if I understand correctly.. Just the GunTalk special actually has its own call-in number.

Technically, that means I could sponsor someone if the deal were to end, and there are numerous other Life Members here I'm sure that could do the same, main thing is we need to realize we have that opportunity and solicit new members and exercise it.

I am going to call the NRA to find out the answer to my question on Monday but I thought I would throw it out here as well. I guess I should be looking at the NRA website for specifics!

Is there an "age restriction" for a lifetime membership? Specifically, do you think I can buy my 2 year old son a lifetime membership? Any forum members purchase NRA memberships for their kids?

It's my boys 2nd birthday today and it just sounds like a great idea...
