I'm wanting to build a 300 blackout upper. Is it the same components as an ar-15 with just a jufferent barrel or is there a different bolt ? its going to be a while before i build it but i'm trying to do my homework. Also this build, I'm wanting a 10" barrel and i'm also going to run a suppressor, so any input on that would be appreciated. This will be my first gun with a SBR and a suppressor so i'm needing to know if theres anything "special" that I need to do to the gun to make it cycle properly.

Everything is the same except the barrel. It uses the same bolt and magazines. Not sure if anything special needs to be done to make it cycle properly. If you use an adjustable gas block, that should take care of any gas problems.

I am running an 8 inch barrel on mine with a suppressor and have not had any cycling issues due to the gas system.

If you buy a quality 300blk barrel you shouldn't have cycling issues. Adjustable gas blocks are nice. I have two of the spikes and really made my 10.3" DD barrel super soft shooting and helped ease the gas on my super over gassed 12.5" BCM. A noveske switchblock would be the ideal setup for a suppressed gun.
