Out of sheer curiosity, how do they hand out slots to the pro series qualifying? Looked like a few big names and then some that were good but not household names.

To get into the pro series you gotta finish top 16 at the qualifier match.
You can get into the qualifier match through the club series by winning your local club or from the semi pro series. There are Abu CJ of guys that are good enough to be in the pro series but they haven't been willing to participate in anything 3GN or they couldn't commit to 4-5 matches per year, etc, etc.

I have considered shooting three gun but it is a much larger financial commitment then USPSA type matches. Well at least for me since I already owned a pistol.
