27th Amendment

I was reading a book on The Constitution and discovered the 27th Amendment. First of all, I didn't know we had 27 Amendments (I know, bad American).

Second it was originally introduced with the Bill of Rights and not ratified by 3/4 of the states until 1992! 203 years later.

PS: It pertains to Congress voting itself a pay raise

It just says they can vote themselves a raise and whoever gets elected next time gets the raise. It is a wasted amendment. It does no good.
