Greetings all!

This email is directed to all participants of the 2015 AR Section Handgun and 2015 AR Section Multi-Gun Championships.

Last Saturday, the Arkansas Section Executive Committee met to discuss plans for the 2016 Championship format. Unfortunately, due to lower participation numbers and match costs, the 2016 MULTI-GUN Championship is cancelled until further notice. However, the Old Fort Gun Club representative announced that they are looking at hosting a 3GUN Nation Championship, however no date has been nailed down at this time. OFGC has hosted many 3GUN Nation Classifiers over the past couple of years with great success. As soon as I know a date, I will email you 3-Gunners more info.

Now for the good news. The 2016 Arkansas Section Championship HANDGUN Championship will be held at Central Arkansas Shooter’s Association west of Little Rock June 2-5, 2016. We will follow the same prize format, entry fee, shooting schedule, etc. as we did for the 2015 AR Section Championship. We decided to keep things identical to the 2015 format as our feedback was all good. I promise to make the stages just as much fun and challenging as we always have. So mark your calendar for that date. I have not configured anything on Matchsignup.org yet, but look for an email from me after the first of the year announcing it.

To those competitors from the MG Championship, we have had some issues with the plaque maker and we will be getting that issue fixed within the next two weeks. A small number of competitors who are due a plaque have not received them yet, and we have not forgotten you. Thank you for your patience and you will receive your plaque soon.

Until later and best regards,

David Hyden, Arkansas Section Coordinator

Hello Shooters!!

If you are receiving this email you are currently registered for Rumble on the River/AR State 3*Gun Championship. Sign in is mandatory and will be on Friday October 28th from 3-7pm (1500-1900). Shooters meeting will be at 7:30am on Saturday October 29th and shots fired by 8:00am on both Saturday and Sunday. We will be providing lunch on Saturday. This will be a 2 day match with 7 stages on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. Complete schedules and squad matrix will be sent out closer to match day.

A few reminders for everyone:
1. Last day to register for the match is October 15th, so if you know anyone who wants to come have them get registered before then.
2. Last day to get a refund is October 15th.
3. Last day to pay is October 20th unless other arrangements have been made with me.
Payments can be made online through Practiscore or you can mail in a check. Email me if you need the address and I can get that to you.

The requirements set out by 3*Gun Nation for the state championships state that a minimum of 10 shooters must be registered in each division for it to take. We currently have plenty for Practical but we are short on the other divisions.
PCC - 5 people registered
Factory - 5 people registered
Unlimited - 7 people registered

If you know anyone who would be interested in shooting any of these divisions that hasn't registered, let them know they need to get their registrations in. Likewise, if you registered as Practical but would be interested in one of the other divisions, let me know and we can change your division. The final call for if a division takes will be made on October 16th. If your first pick division does not take, you will be notified via email that you have been moved to your second choice division. If you do not remember what your second choice was, email me and I can look it up for you.

We could still use some help ROing. If you are interested in helping as staff please let Micah or I know.

We do have a match hotel! The Candlewood in Ft. Smith has very reasonable rates, is gun friendly, and they are close to the range and food. Below are the rates and details on reserving a room.

Good news!!!! PCC, limited and unlimited are on like donkey kong...

Hello Shooters!

Quick update for everyone. Jesse Tischauser brought up a good point on Facebook last night and as a result got us some more clarification on the number of shooters required for a division to take! Previously we had been told a minimum of 10, but now we have been told for the State Championship matches it is at the discretion of the Match Directors. That being said, Micah and I are lowering the minimum for each division to 5! As of right now all divisions have enough people to be recognized at the match!

There have also been some questions on the cash payout. The payout will be figured based on percentage of shooters in each division. So, if 75% of the shooters are in Practical, 75% of the payout money will be in Practical.

Please let Micah or I know if you have any questions
