2011 - 9mm major to 9mm minor

Lets say someone found a smoking deal on a 2011 set up for 9mm major (It has a comp), Is it feasible or even possible to remove the comp and set it up to run 9mm minor for a limited minor and 3 gun pistol? Or is it just too much of a headache to even consider?

My knowledge of the 2011 platform is limited at best.

There's more to it than just the comp. the rear of the slide is most likely shaved off under the red dot, where the sight would be mounted.
This isn't allways the case but if it is, there would be no way to mount a rear sight on it for limited.
