20 gauge shotgun

Anyone have experiance with S&W mod 1000 20 gauge?

This shotgun has gas system problems and won't cycle....Would it be worth having Rich at D&R fix it?

Thank you for your responses.........I have read many write ups on this shot gun and have checked out all the recommendations.....I have also taken the gun to Rich for his opinion.....The gun was made in the mid 1990s and I was curious as to whether it was worth the $150 (approx) repair cost.

I put in a new piston buffer and hammer spring after thoroughly cleaning it...The piston and valve were some what pitted, but moved freely in the tube and still would not cycle........The gun looks great and I may have Rich fix it if it is worth the expense.....I guess that my real question to anyone that has used this model S&W, is would you have it fixed....Will use it for turkey.
