I had a great time, my equipment was not ready to run, my bad, I made the mistake of assuming the police officer that sold it to me would provide good running equipment. This was the 3rd time I have ever shot an AR and the first 2 was at Heartland checking it out with a total of 20 rounds. The day was very rewarding because everyone was very helpful and pined down the exact problem with my gun, besides being dry, I left knowing what needed to be done. My gun completely failed in our last stage, which was the one you had to shoot the opposite color-red or black, and I was offered to run it with someone else's rifle, it was clean, shiny, new looking and a Trijicon-green scope-WOW!
Then I shot last night at Heartland and they had a stage where you shot the opposite of "x or y".
So you should know that with my memory issues, remembering colors and letters are a challenge, so forgive me for not mentioning everyone’s name who helped me.
Look forward to doing it again and my equipment will be ready to run.
If newbie's are allowed to help put up and take down I don't mind helping.
