I'll +1 Chester at Palmetto Arms (google). He has done some AR barrel work for me (very well I might add) but focuses on 1911s. He's off 78 in Ladson IIRC.

I second this competitor/machinist/ and builds 1911's. Hes built guns for alot of people at pgc.
