Jesse, good to know about the hardness of the comp. That saves some headaches. Thanks also for the replacement recommendation (and for the others mentioned in this thread) this narrows the field -- there are a lot of comps out there.

Thanks for the responses! A friend had suggested drilling a port(s) on the bottom, but I was reluctant to do that due to the possibility of increasing the amount of dust kicked up when shooting prone.

Love my 3G, but have noticed that in my own shooting, there is some slight overcompensation - a bit of muzzle dip when a round is fired. I don't see Jesse's doing that, however, so: Is there a technique for me to learn, a particular ammo type to use? Or, is anyone modding the comp, e.g...
