Are "budget" 1911s worth throwing money at?

i spent more than two years working on a norinco to make it awesome and learned how to fit and measure and understand how many parts work and get fit into a 1911. i ruined some very expensive parts along the way, but i learned a lot. that was well worth the cost. i have showed my custom...

Are "budget" 1911s worth throwing money at?

i spend more than that for high quality grips, they are my interface with the gun. a carry gun has to be controllable and reliable , accuracy is nice to a point , but able to be shot quickly and make reasonable hits fast is the point.

Are "budget" 1911s worth throwing money at?

i did a norinco and made an amazing gun out of it. it was not cost effective, but i am never selling it. it was done as a custom fit gun for my daughter. i have RIA ten mm that i don’t think i will ever modify , but since its a carry gun i would spend money for a trigger or...

    My First Glock.

with carry guns in my opinion simple is better. i prefer my 45acp shields to the 42 or 43 glocks. capacity is better and the grip and trigger feel better to me. i like gen 2 glocks over any of the newer stuff. i hate the finger grooves and like the older finish better. i have not shot...

    Dan Wesson Dan Wesson CCO

i have a lot of love for ten mm. i prefer it in a 4.25 inch 1911 best. it also works in a glock 20 . 15 plus one in a large frame auto is a lot of power in a reliable low maintainance package. i don’t have interest in handgun hunting, so a six inch version is not my thing. my colt...
