    2012-2013 Deer/Elk/Antelope Hunting contest

Almost forgot to post up about the doe I shot last month...... Made what I thought was a great 15 yard shot about 6:45. She piled up about 10 yds into the woods and got up once and moved about 10 more yards. I gave her right at an hour and then went to my truck to change clothes and drop a few...

What an awesome video! Talk about being on the X. I've had some decent days this season, but I haven't seen a concentration of mallards like that all year. Thanks for sharing.

    Lets hear your duck recipies

I've started taking mine to Siegi's and having sausage made. I've been killing way to many to keep up with the cooking! I will give a great tip though. Before you prepare them, soak the breasts in buttermilk for 24-48 hours. You can drain them and replace the milk once or twice if you like...

Here are a few pics from the weekend. We killed a 3 man limit Saturday morning and a 4 man limit Sunday morning. To top it off we killed a 5 man limit of geese Sunday evening. Took today off to catch some rest and then back at them in the morning before heading back to the office Wednesday.

    What a waste

I had a buddy send me a pic from a friend's place near Inola last year. He had 2 nice bucks he found dead that were locked up. Sticking with the common theme, he found them in the pond.

Man, those are all great looking mounts! Who did them if you don't mind me asking? I'm hoping to kill a nice readhead to have it done this year. I had planned to take my next bird over to Terry at Look Alive Taxidermy, but as nice as those look, I may change my mind if the price is right.

That's a great looking hoodie mount! I wanted to get mine done that way, but his breast was a little discolored so my taxidermist suggested I get him done flying. Not exactly what I had in mind, but he did a good job on it.

No, that's my friend's dog. Mine doesn't make it out much these days due to her age. It takes her too long to recover, but I still try to get her out on easier hunts once in a while. Here she is:
