    Springfield replicating Browning Hi-Power

I've only owned 1 and that was years ago. It was chambered in 40 S&W so it went bye bye. Might consider one of these Springers?

How about an AR pic thread.....?

"Hey Fis, Been a scuba instructor for 25yrs, I could go out there and find them, but there would but a finders fee, you know." Now darn it you've put me on the spot. See now I have to admit that being inebriated had a major cause in the boating accident and also has me as confused as Brandon...

How about an AR pic thread.....?

I thought I would revive an old thread. This is an older photo from before my boating accident.

Show off some of your favorite revolvers!

Well again I don't have the fancy six shooters that the rest of you fellas have but I thought I would post one of my carry guns. As a matter of fact it's on my side right now while I drink my coffee and peck away at this keyboard. I like the original grips but the Hogue Bantams are a lot...

Buyer's guide for first 1911s Priced Below $1000

Kimber K6S I have the K6s 3" DASA and like it. I did put Hogue Bantam grips on it though. Easier on arthritic hands with mag rds. My most recent 1911 was a Fusion Reaction in 45 acp. May be the most accurate one I have.

    R1 Enhanced

I didn't know that the R1's were milled and not a cast frame? Is that for all models of the Remmys?

    No Jab....No Guns

Good on Hornady. I carry their ammo from time to time, usually in a handgun;).

    What a ride the 1911.

While the 1911 is still my favorite pistol I must admit that I only carry one during the winter. Even then it depends on where I'm going as to what I carry. Summer time is smaller, lighter carry in 9mm or 38 spl. If I'm entering an urban area (winter) these past few years I've started...

Show off some of your favorite revolvers!

While I don't have the fancy or expensive six shooters that alot of you fellas do, I thought I would include what I call my "Gentleman's Traveling Companion". This guy is on a folded towel on the night stand in any hotel room that I'm staying in while vacationing. It just naturally points for...

Is Tisas a good 1911 option?

I read where Bill Laughridge of Cylinder & Slide claims that the Tisas Hi Powers are harder steel than even the original Brownings and are the only maker he will build on as far as Hi Powers go, since Browning has discontinued their Wonder 9s Personally I haven't owned anything from Turkey.

Carry a Knife for Personal Defense; When will you Use it?

I've carried a Spyderco Endura in one form or another for nearly 30 years. Lost my EDC plain edge last Spring so I replaced it with the Pacific Salt 2 in LC200N and it has been okay for everyday tasks. When I leave my property and venture out among humanity I always have my Endura 4 with full...

Bul Commander in 9mm- first range trip

Looks like a solid pistol. Israelis seem to make good stuff, they have to considering their neighbors. I've never fired a 9mm in the 1911 platform but I have a couple IWI Jerichos in 9mm and like them well enough. Both can be carried in condition 1. Good looking 1911 in 9mm.

    Kansas Flinthills

Finally decided to stop lurking in the shadows. 1911 is still my favorite, it's what I carried for Uncle Sugar (yes I'm that old) before 9mm was the replacement for our beloved .45. I look forward to commenting on many topics of which I'm not qualified.

    Country Sayings

Pappy (my father) would often say, "The things you see when you don't have a gun." This had a wide range of applications.
