    What did you carry today?

Walther CCP-M2 single stack 9mm in Falco belt pouch. My EDC weapon, If I take the Colt Double Eagle Lightweight Officers ACP, .45, I have to dress over it. Easier to wear what I please and carry the Walther in the Falco "in plain sight". Everyone assumes the Falco case holds a phone or a...

    Colt Colt Picture Thread...

I recently declined to renew my subscription to "Guns & Ammo" magazine. Although it's a very good magazine, I was sick of being bombarded with news of the latest plastic pistols, black and all metal rifles and information on the wondrous new calibers that would obviate the desire for the...

    What's your favorite Battle Rifle?

Mkke : That is great! So well stated. Made me stop and think about our heritage. I love the old quote from an unknown author, "The British tried to take away our guns. We shot them". To modern US gun confiscators, I call their attention to George Santayana's sage comment, "Those who...

    What's your favorite Battle Rifle?

1903 Springfield and M-1 Rifle. The latter I used during my (peacetime) Marine Corps service. The former (I have two custom sporters) for nostalgia remembering Marines of WWI and the 1930s "Banana Wars". I'll have to add the Browning Automatic Rifle M-1918 to fully date myself. Ralph

The Iconic 45 Automatic Colt Pistol.

Mike, Elmer Keith always favored big, slow bullets. Elmer's gone, but his fascination lingers on in me and most others on this forum.

Any Love for the Ruger Mini 30?

I love my stainless Mini-30. It shoots easy and reminds me very much of the M-1 rifle I used as a Marine over 60 years ago. It's also "Made in USA" and I always admired Bill Ruger and his company. Ralph

    Our Civilian Army.

One of the benefits of living in rural Texas is that liberals are as rare here as 10 banded armadillos. We fled The Peoples Republik of California 3 years ago after having worked and lived there since 1971. We were able to see up front and personal the spiraling down of our State at the hands...

    My latest wheelgun

Thank you, Bill. I (obviously) had no idea. Culima does offer beautiful grip upgrades. So pleased I have them.

    My latest wheelgun

My stainless Ladysmith.38/3" has the same S&W finger notch wood grips and I think they're great. No little standard grips for me. Ralph

    Red flag laws

My active duty as a Marine ended 60 years ago this month at age 24. From my very clear memory, there wasn't a pansy in the pack. I have seen it reported that the Chinese military is working to increase the masculinity of its males, given that tough men make the best warriors. We seem to be...

The NC Governor Is Despicable....This Lady Needs Everyone's Support

Mark Robinson is a wonderful American. Hard to believe that the same electorate that elected Mark also elected the idiot governor. Mark's impassioned speech to the Greensboro, NC City Council was as great as Charlton Heston's "From my cold, dead hands" and I occasionally watch both...

Covid-19 Alleged Vaccinations. - Have you had it?

Earlier this year, my wife and I, at ages 78 and 84, got the vaccine. Mine courtesy of the Veterans Administration. True, we do not know what the long term effects of the vaccine may be, but at our ages we tend to think more short-term than long-term. Ralph

    Hard to believe.....

The French economist, Alexis de Tocqueville said in the 1850s, speaking of the United States, "The Republic will endure until the congress learns it can bribe the public with their own money". Where are the so-called "conservative Republicans" while all this bribery is going on? Only Trump...

    Schools nowadays

All too true. But, before all hope is lost, consider Hillsdale College in SW Michigan. In existence since 1844, Hillsdale insists on truth, ethics, the Constitution and accepts not a penny of aid from any government source. Graduates are required to have taken and passed courses in the...

    S&W J-frame gunny?

Second the positive thoughts on J-frame Smiths. I love my stainless Ladysmith .38 with Smith contoured walnut grips. I have an elderly Rossi copy of the J-frame, but it doesn't even get to first base. Also have two N frames, 626 and 27. Old guy's treasures. Ralph

    Hello From Pennsylvania

Doc; As Sean Hannity likes to say to his callers, "You are a great American". This from a Marine and you know how superior we can (deservedly) be!! Ralph
